... is a licensed professional counselor practicing in NC since 1998. Prior to that, she practiced in VA working both in the private and public sector. She is a graduate of NC State and Old Dominion Universities. She provides psychotherapy to adults, children, and adolescents through individual, group and family therapy settings.

Ms. Spurlock has specialized training in domestic violence, child abuse, anger management, ADHD, divorce issues, and depression, among others. She provides a holistic approach to client struggles including more traditional forms of psychotherapy to lesser traditional but highly effective means such as energy psychology. Ms. Spurlock has a special interest in sand play therapy which she believes promotes balance and wholeness in the individual. Another area of special interest is Dialectical Behavioral Therapy which she provides in a group setting to adolescents with a history of self-harming behaviors. She notes these tools are invaluable in assisting the development of interpersonal effectiveness and gaining control over self-destructive behaviors.
